Mickie (Maresh) LeFever

Michelle "Mickie" Marie Lefever (nee Maresh), age 54, passed away at St. Mary's Hospital in Grand Junction, CO, on February 1, 2008 from injuries sustained in a motor vehicle accident. Mickie was born May 20, 1953 in Antigo, WI to the late Edward and Audrey Maresh. She attended elementary, middle and high school in the Milwaukee, WI area. She moved to the Grand Junction area in 1981 where she worked for the Grand Junction Regional Center as a Health Care Technician Supervisor for 27 years. She was a member of the Brothertown Indian Nation.

Mickie married the love of her life, Allen Lefever on February 14, 1998 in Whitewater, Colorado. They enjoyed traveling, especially to Hawaii. Her favorite pastime was soaking up the sun on white sandy beaches. She devoted much of her time looking after the wildlife around their home.

Mickie is survived by her husband Allen Lefever; Allen's parents, Robert and Juanita Lefever; her brother Bruce Maresh and his wife Sal; a sister Cher Nadolny and her husband Jer; and nieces and nephews.

A Celebration of Life will be held Saturday, February 9, 2008 at 1:30 p.m. at Callahan-Edfast Mortuary, 2515 Patterson Road, Grand Junction, CO. We would like to thank everyone for their support and prayers during this time. We would also like to thank the doctors and nurses at St. Mary's Hospital for the exceptional care and services they gave Mickie. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to The Pauline S.
