Rosemary C. Rzepiejewski, 80, of Eau Claire passed away Monday, October 23, 2006, at St. Joseph Hospital in Chippewa Falls. She was born in Cudahy, Wis., on March 21, 1926, the daughter of Andrew and Mary (Busczek-Hoffman) Taschner.

Rosemary attended Cudahy High School in 1943, and then worked as a chemist at Solar Paint and Varnish in Milwaukee. There, she met her future husband, Vincent W. Rzepiejewski, and was married on July 23, 1949. They moved to Eau Claire in 1961. After raising six children, Rosemary worked 10 years as a receiving clerk at Shopko. She was a longtime active member of St. Olaf Catholic Church, including over 30 years in the church choir.

Rosemary spread sunshine wherever she went, with her cheerful smile and kind words. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and friend. Rosemary was an accomplished seamstress, an excellent cook and a beautiful writer. She loved music, card games, and conversation with friends and family. Rosemary’s giving spirit touched many with inspiration, hope, encouragement and strength.

Rosemary is survived by her four sons, Thomas (Carolee) of Eau Claire, David (Joyce) of Onalaska, Richard of Eau Claire and Paul of Eau Claire; two daughters, Karen of Eau Claire, Janet (Mike) Alekna of Wisconsin Rapids; 10 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; her brother, Ervin Taschner of La Crosse; sisters-in-law, Ceil Fleischman of St. Cloud, Fla., Pat Taschner of South Milwaukee and June Rzepiejewski of Winter Garden, Fla.; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Vincent in April of this year; three brothers, Charles Taschner and Raymond Taschner of South Milwaukee and Andrew Taschner of Augusta; and her sister, Lillian Taschner of Cudahy.

Mass of Christian burial will be held at 10 a.m. on Saturday, October 28, 2006, at St. Olaf Catholic Church, with Father Brian Konopa officiating. Entombment will be in Resurrection Chapel Mausoleum in the town of Washington.

Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Friday at Lenmark-Gomsrud-Linn Funeral Home, Eau Claire, and one hour prior to services Saturday at the church. There will be a 4 p.m. public parish vigil prayer service Friday at the funeral home.
