Jeffrey S. Burkel died tragically Nov. 15, 2003 at the age of 34 years. Beloved husband of Shelly (nee Kaaz) and loving father of Courtney Brianne and Paige Brittany. Cherished son of Trish Taylor-Berg (Tim Wiedel) and David Burkel. Deeply mourned by his sister Jenni (Brian) Franklin and nephew Dylan. Jeff had a special relationship with his grandfather, Donald (Jennifer) Berg and cousins, Andy Koch and Craig Marking.

Preceded in death by his best friend Clint Grover and favorite grandmother Thelma Berg. Further survived and will be deeply missed by his mother and father-in-law Bev and Daryl Kaaz, brother-in-law Duane, aunts, uncles, cousins, other family and special friends.

Jeff was a graduate of Cudahy High School, a proud Army Veteran of the Persian Gulf War and a former employee of the Wisconsin Department of Corrections. He was an avid outdoorsman and was fulfilling a lifelong dream of obtaining his pilots license when he lost his battle with depression. Special thanks to Jackie Blair and John Rozga.

Funeral Services Fri. 7:00PM at the Funeral Home, Rev. Thomas Payden officiating. Visitation Fri. at the Funeral Home from 4:00PM until the time of Services.
