George R. Denninger, age 72. Passed away Wednesday, February 15, 2006. Born December 19, 1933 in Milwaukee, WI to George and Ella (nee Brustman) Denninger. He married Irene Fehrle on August 24, 1957 at Salem Lutheran Church in Ann Arbor, Michigan. Survivors include his children Beth Sirek, Steve Dennniger, Ruth (Richard) Kaiser, Carol (Tim) Hamann, and Dave (Lisa) Denninger; grandchildren, Mike and Nick Sirek, Jenna and Zachary Hamann, Andrew, Jacquline and David Kaiser and Ethan George and Olivia Irene Denninger; one great- grandchild Collin Robert Sirek; sisters Violet (John) Koniar and Norma (John) Juern. Further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Preceded in death by his parents, wife Irene in 2003, daughter-in-law, Pamela Jean (Berndt) Denninger.

George was a graduate of Cudahy High School. He had been employed in Data Processing for 40 years. He was a member of St. Stephen's Evangelical Lutheran Church in Beaver Dam since 1971, serving his Lord as a member of the Church Council, School Board, District Elder and Lakeside Lutheran High School General Board. He served his country in the United States Army in the Korean Conflict with 32 months in Japan.

Funeral services Saturday, February 25, 2006 Noon at St. Stephen's Evangelical Lutheran Church in Beaver Dam. Clergy, Rev. Mark Lindner. Cemetery Highland Memory Gardens, Township of Trenton. Graveside Military Rites will be conducted by the Beaver Dam American Legion Post #146. Visitation Friday, February 24, 2006 from 5-8PM at the Koepsell Funeral Home in Beaver Dam and on Saturday, February 25, 2006 from 11AM until the time of service at Noon at St. Stephens Ev. Lutheran Church in Beaver Dam. Memorials to Lakeside Lutheran High School Building Fund, St. Stephen's Evangelical Lutheran Church or to Hillside Hospice Program.
