The first high school in Cudahy was built in 1915 at 4416 South Packard Avenue. When a new high school was built on South Lake Drive in the early 1920's, the previous high school became Lincoln Elementary School. A pool and gymnasium wing were added to the Cudahy High School in 1929, making Cudahy the first suburban school in Milwaukee to have a pool. According to my step-dad, at least when he attended school there in the 50s, swimming was only offered to boys and they had to swim naked. Which explains a lot. ![]() CHS today |
