I've worked in technology for twenty years, but when it came to getting set up on this system I needed help right away. Computer wizard or not, there's always a username or password just waiting for the chance to trip us and watch us fall. ** Speaking of "technology", IBM's IMS database utility (Information Management System) first signed in in 1968, and while numerous "tweaks" have been necessary over the years, this old workhorse is still running strong and has been one of the most impressively versatile developments of the entire computer age. It's true - IMS is forty years old and still chugging along. Anyway, this is my first posting on here and I just thought I'd mention it. Having worked in IMS environments I feel kind of proud of how long it has lasted.

Starting to like more and more people are beginning to come out of the wood work for this event. Ann and I have been emailing back and forth and it appears that no less the 48 of us have shown at least some interest in this historic event. As Provan and I have been discussing it appears that the 10 year was not enough time away to get together. Makes sense really if you think about it, people just getting done with college and or the military, then beginning their career or job field, to much going on at that time. Now at least most of us have settled in, have kids and no longer any resemblance of a social life. Now it is time for us to get back together, recall what it was like to have a life and to see what everyone else has done. Very well said Mike.Tell Steve to get his scrawny little ass on the forums.I havent talked to him since he gave up coaching soccer with the kickers.He was coach of the team his and my son played on. |

Great to see everyone getting excited about this.God, we are going to be 40 years old soon.Can you believe that?I have so many fond memories from hearing old songs or seing a movie from the 80's.I personally think the 80's was the best time to grow up.Hopefully this will be super successful and we can all talk about the good times we had as class of 89.Im available for any help needed to get this going.Just let me know when and where we will get together for planning.I think having a good old beacher for a get together with planning would be funny as hell!!!!! TOMMY HOW THE HELL ARE YOU SON . |
