Apology not needed Audra! I have been leaving messages here and there to remind people (that I thought might come) to email the account. If I have left you a phone message, I won't call you back. I'm not trying to stalk/strong arm people, just nudge them.

It's so cool how this is evolving! Should we start a pool on who will be the last to leave the building next year? I'll throw a buck on Vandervest.   Smiley

Mike--that is a valid question, and one we knew would come up at some point. When planning a party of this size, you cannot please everyone. There is SO much enthusiasm for this event that hopefully the party size won't diminish because of the site choice.

I assure you the hotel option was researched. Our main goal is to get the highest attendance
level yet. We were worried that if the ticket price was too expensive, it would turn people off. We did not want cost to be a reason folks didn't attend. Hotels were very pricey.

On the other end, the picnic option seemed a bit casual for some people, and had uncontrollable variables~ weather.

There will be a block of rooms reserved for our reunion at a hotel. This will be determined later, and info emailed from the yahoo account. There is also the Sheridan House (old Fountain Blue) within walking (or in some cases stumbling) distance which has several nice rooms. They will be adding 6 more rooms by next August.

We chose to walk the middle line so to speak, and stuck with the nostalgia of Cudahy. Many expressed that since they do not get back to Cudahy too much, it would be nice to see it again during reunion weekend.

Looking forward to catching up with all of you NEXT summer!

I just wanted to add that we have had a substantial response from many who have not yet emailed the yahoo account as well. This is really going to be a great gathering!

We are moving ahead with the planning for next year! There are some who don't have access to a computer (or having problems with their service), and cannot reply to the email, but have expressed enthusiasm for a reunion.

Anyone is welcome to contribute!

Thanks,
Ann

At least I didn't have Mr. Gill for homeroom.

And how did you get those boxes transferred to your replies? Pretty slick.

I grabbed about 20 names from this and the classmates.com websites. I looked up many addresses and will mail out a basic flier with the cudahy89@yahoo.com info on it. I think we can get some good numbers if we can just reach people.

Church bulletins, and grocery stores might be another avenue to reach local residents.

I'll mail out 20 more next week, just randomly, if I can find their addresses on whitepages.com

Let me know what else I can do to help get word out! And keep me posted on how many responses you get. Smiley

I'm up for a reunion! You guys are right to get an early start. I only keep in touch with 1 person-Mo Frederick. I'll tell her about it. Could we get names from classmates.com?
I signed up on it, and I posted something but not sure who checks or how often.
Count me in for help, and attending.
How about an ad in the Reminder?

I'm fine with doing something not in S. Milwaukee as well. Funny Matt.

Tell Nick  I said Hi. And his mom. I worked with her for a while!

and Hi Tom J!
Even if we don't get a huge response, I say whoever is interested should get together anyway.
I have no idea where though.
Hope to read you guys soon!
Ann
